1. Agreement to These Terms
Oliver Martial Arts Academy (“OMA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates omakarate.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. You can always reach us by phone at (813) 278-8551 or in person at the academy.
2. Who May Use This Site
The Site is intended for adults: parents, legal guardians, and adult students who are at least 18 years old. Children may look at the Site with a parent or guardian, but they may not submit forms or send us personal information.
3. Information on This Site
We work to keep class schedules, program details, camp dates, and prices current, but they may change without notice. Please call the academy to confirm anything you are relying on.
Content on the Site is general information. It is not medical, legal, or professional advice. Martial arts training is a physical activity with inherent risk of injury. Please talk with your child’s doctor, or your own, before starting any exercise program.
4. Registrations & Forms
- Submitting a trial, camp, or enrollment form is a request. A spot is confirmed only when our team contacts you.
- No payment is collected through the Site. Please never type card numbers into a form or message.
- You agree that the information you submit is accurate and complete, and that you are authorized to provide it.
- Participation in classes, camps, and transportation is governed by the waiver, release, and program policies you sign during registration. Where those documents and these Terms differ, the signed documents control.
- Typing your name or drawing a signature in a form is an electronic signature and has the same effect as signing on paper.
5. Children's Information
Our forms ask for information about children so that we can register them and keep them safe. By submitting a form, you confirm that:
- You are the child’s parent or legal guardian, and you are at least 18 years old.
- You are providing the child’s information voluntarily.
- You consent to our collection, use, and storage of that information as described in the Children’s Privacy section of our Privacy Notice.
You may review, correct, or ask us to delete your child’s information, or withdraw your consent, at any time by contacting oma@omakarate.com. If we learn that a child sent us information without a parent’s consent, we will delete it.
6. Acceptable Use
Please do not misuse the Site. That includes submitting false registrations, registering someone without permission, attempting to access other families’ information, interfering with the Site’s operation or security, or using automated tools to collect content.
7. Content & Trademarks
The Oliver Martial Arts Academy name and logo, and the text, photos, and videos on the Site, belong to OMA or are used with permission. You may view and share links to our pages for personal use. Please do not copy, edit, or republish our photos or videos, especially those that show students, without our written permission.
8. Reviews & Outside Links
Testimonials shown on the Site are the opinions of the families who wrote them, and individual results vary. The Site links to services we do not control, such as Google Maps, Google reviews, and our social media pages. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices.
9. Texts & Emails
If you give us your email address or choose text reminders on a form, we may send you confirmations and reminders about your registration. Text reminders are optional; message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying to a message or contacting the academy.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, or secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OMA is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute about the Site will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Hillsborough County, Florida.
12. Changes & Contact
We may update these Terms from time to time and will revise the Effective Date above when we do. These Terms are available in English and Spanish; if the two versions differ, the English version controls.
